New Director of Interpreter Resources and Quality Assurance

Cross Cultural Communication Systems is pleased to introduce the newest member of our team. Gaye Gentes has joined our team as the Director of Interpreter Resources and Quality Assurance. The former Director, Daniel McLean will be leaving his position on May 17, 2019. We are extremely thankful to Mr. McLean and all of his contributions to CCCS. He will be greatly missed and we wish him much success in his future endeavors.
Ms. Gentes officially joined us on April 15, 2019 and will be handling all interpreter resource and quality assurance related matters. She is joining us with over 20 years of experience in increasingly responsible roles in the industry. In her most recent position, Ms. Gentes was the Program Director at Found in Translation and previously Manager for the Office of Court Interpreter Services at the Trial Court of Massachusetts and Director of Interpreter Services at Tufts Medical Center.
Thank you in advance for wishing Mr. McLean much success and in joining me in welcoming Ms. Gentes to the CCCS team.

National Council on Interpreting in Health Care (NCIHC) Support

CCCS supports the National Council on Interpreting in Health Care (NCIHC) which condemns the current U.S. Border policy that has led to the forced separation of approximately 2,000 immigrant children from their parents. As an organization whose mission is to enhance and promote language access in health care, our members – many who are immigrants themselves — work on a daily basis with newcomers. We see the devastating effects these policies have on the health, and the mental health, of all involved, and we stand with our colleagues at the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American College of Physicians, and the American Psychiatric Association in opposition to this practice. We urge you to consider joining us, and offer the following ways in which you can do so:
